my Papa and I had walked down the aisle to the choir (Joyful Sounds/Patrick Golding) singing Louis Armstrong’s ‘wonderful world’ - a special favourite song which really started of the sentiment of the wedding day celebrations…
kaila yay! we got married…on the 9th of September 2011. [kaila! in Fijian means ‘joyful shout/scream/squeal of celebration’]
It was a truly wonderful day…and the best thing was getting the feedback [that ‘it was the best wedding we’ve attended’] from our family and friends who came over from far and wide to a quaint little English town to celebrate with us.
This is an homage to a special wedding day - ours! and also to all the wonderful wedding days which I came across in blogs, magazines, family wedding days, friends recent weddings, history and even the news [kate & william’s royal wedding day]. Needless to say, this is also my way of indulging myself in the special magic that a wedding day is…now that our wedding day has been celebrated and is being [slowly!] filed away as a beautiful memory.
